Introduction Sleep deprivation is the condition of not having enough sleep, sleep is one of the most important factors in your everyday life. Sleep plays a huge role in your mental and physical health, if you don’t get enough sleep it can be very dangerous. Now as a student at a university I decided to conduct a survey on how sleep deprivation can have a toll on academic success. Here the dog is what you maybe miss the most when you make these terrible decisions such as drinking and driving. The author makes sure to at the beginning to explain a sequence of events or the past with the man and his dog to create a deeper meaning to the story. The author then has the man leave with his friends to a car where we can see the presence of alcohol, the man and his friends say goodbye to the dog on the floor. Then it shows the dog patiently waiting in the shadows of day and night for its owner to come back home one last time. The audience here is now moved that the man won't return back to the house because he got into a crash and his life has been taken away.
