Introduction:
A. Using flex meals at the Catlett late night grill
Body:
Main Point 1:
B. Paying to much
Main Point 2:
C. Can't really use 75 flex meals in one semester and they don't transition over to next semester.
Conclusion:
E. For my conclusion we can see that the use of flex meals at the late night grill in Catlett would be a good idea considering that your paying to much already for school, also you can't use all your flex meals in a semester anyways since it's very hard and they don't switch over, also its just more convenient for the student body.

introduction:
Using flex meals at the Catlett late night grill would be an amazing idea considering that the prices are so expensive but also we can't truly use 75 flex meals in a semester. The only thing you can truly get from flex meals is pizza roles and possibly a drink and be super satisfied for not paying, but get this you can't use flex meals on the weekend so then again the university is getting way more money off of you especially if you don't like eating at Burge. For a person like me, I absolutely hate eating at Burge, that place is disgusting. So I have to head over to Burge's Clinton Street Market to pay for some large burritos or pizza roles. Flex meals are in its self very convenient to not spend more money considering the large amount of tuition your already paying for. People say it's truly impossible to spend all of your 75 flex meals, so why not give it a try at the place were a ton of starving kiddos go when they get tired of studying at night. The first reason may be the reason why flex meals even came up as an option in the first place.
Main point 1:
When you go down too the late night grill at Catlett your usually greeted by a very nice man named Chris who takes your order and just watches the money flow by considering that you just spent $5.75 on mac and cheese + bacon. Yes, by the way that's usually me. The prices at the Catlett late night grill are actually absurd considering that to add bacon it's literally 2 dollars for little crumbles. I can literally get a small bottle of "McCormick Bac'n pieces" at target for 1.79 which is even a larger portion than the one you get on your mac and cheese at the late night grill. I would be considerably fine with the prices if they were to drop a bit, but then again we go to a university when does anything drop in price. Also how can we get all the flex meals gone, when they don't even transfer over to the second semester.
Main point 2:
If you were to choose the black or gold meal plan at the University of Iowa you would be getting a whopping 75 flex meals. Some people don't really know what a flex meal is or what it brings to the table, well a flex meal is a type of currency you get with your meal plan that you can use at some locations around campus. This new type of currency for the black and gold meal plan owners is really awesome considering you can get only 5 flex meals per day, this would only account for the weekdays of course. But lets think super quick, who has enough refrigerator space to even fit 25 boxes of pizza roles a week, also this is a huge health concern considering your literally only eating pizza roles everyday to get rid of all your flex meals. Is the university really trying to play a role in obesity? I think if we were able to have a different or healthier option like the late night were I can go and get apple slices possibly with a drink it would be a better alternative then eating a mass load of pizza roles or large burritos.
solutions:
having it like Burge market, where I can go and spend flex meals during the weekdays and have no flex meals on the weekend causing me to pay for certain food items. So they are still making money even if they are going to be using flex meals or hawk dollars.

Another solution would be getting a petition as the right to petition stated in the 1st amendment to change the university's policy of having no flex meals at the Catlett late night grill.
conclusion:
For my conclusion we can see that the use of flex meals at the late night grill in Catlett would be a good idea considering that your paying to much already for school, also you can't use all your flex meals in a semester anyways since it's very hard and they don't switch over, also its just more convenient for the student body.

  1. This outline was very thoroughly written with a lot of detail. I liked the idea you had to connect it to an outside place and how much they costed because it put things into perspective for me personally and that will help the audience. I wasn't 100 percent sold on your solutions because I felt like maybe more could be done about this. The outline was very clear about the direction youre going with this. I liked it!!
